3GW! Another Chinese PV company starts construction of an overseas module factory

According to local media reports on April 24, a 3GW module factory of Yida New Energy in Mandeur, Doube Province, France has begun construction. This is also the first photovoltaic module factory of Yida New Energy in Europe.

It is reported that the project plans to invest 109 million euros (equivalent to about 896 million yuan), covers an area of 51,000 square meters, and will be equipped with three photovoltaic module production lines in the factory.

With the landing of this factory, Yida New Energy's global manufacturing network will be further expanded, which will complement its existing 14 factories in China, and the total number of employees worldwide is expected to reach 8,900. Previously, in November 2024, Yida New Energy first announced the plan, and the project will provide more than 2,500 jobs after completion. According to data, in 2023, Yida New Energy has built 30GW of high-efficiency battery and 30GW of high-efficiency module production capacity. By the end of 2024, the relevant production capacity will be 40GW and the total capacity will be 80GW.
