(1)Peak shaving and valley filling: By taking advantage of the difference in peak and valley electricity prices, enterprises can charge and accumulate electricity during valley and flat periods, and discharge electricity during peak and peak periods, thereby effectively reducing the electricity costs of enterprises. This is the main source of income for industrial and commercial energy storage, accounting for more than 90%.
(2) Balancing demand charges: Energy storage systems can help enterprises eliminate peak loads through peak shaving and valley filling strategies, making the electricity usage curve smoother and thus reducing demand charges.
(3) Dynamic capacity expansion: When the user's transformer capacity is fixed, when the transformer needs to be overloaded during a certain period of time, it is usually necessary to expand the transformer capacity. However, after being equipped with a proper energy storage system, the transformer load can be reduced by discharging during this period, thereby saving the cost of transformer capacity expansion and transformation.
(4) Demand-side response: After installing an energy storage system, enterprises can better respond to the needs of the power grid, avoid power rationing and pay high electricity bills. Instead, they may obtain additional compensation fees by participating in demand response transactions.
